Ratusan tewas, terluka terinjak-injak di pertandingan sepak bola Indonesia
Polisi menembakkan gas air mata setelah para suporter menyerbu lapangan di Jawa Timur, yang memicu terjadinya penyerbuan yang menewaskan sedikitnya 125 orang dan melukai 100 lainnya.
Sedikitnya 125 orang tewas dan puluhan lainnya luka-luka dalam kerusuhan dan penyerbuan di stadion sepak bola Indonesia.
Tragedi Sabtu malam di timur kota Malang ini merupakan salah satu bencana stadion olahraga paling mematikan di dunia.
Polisi di Provinsi Jawa Timur mengatakan ribuan suporter Arema FC menyerbu lapangan Stadion Kanjuruhan setelah timnya kalah 3-2 dari Persebaya Surabaya. Petugas berusaha mengendalikan “kerusuhan” dengan menembakkan gas air mata, memicu kericuhan saat para penggemar yang panik bergegas menuju pintu keluar.
Beberapa tercekik dalam kekacauan sementara yang lain diinjak-injak sampai mati. Setidaknya 34 orang, termasuk dua petugas polisi, tewas di stadion.
Korban tewas direvisi menjadi 125, menurut Wakil Gubernur Jawa Timur Emil Dardak, yang mengatakan bahwa beberapa nama tercatat dua kali. Pejabat sebelumnya telah menempatkan angka setinggi 174.
Seorang direktur rumah sakit mengatakan kepada televisi lokal bahwa salah satu korban berusia lima tahun.
Cuplikan video dari saluran berita lokal menunjukkan para penggemar mengalir ke lapangan di Stadion Kanjurujan di Malang setelah Arema FC kalah dari Persebaya Surabaya. Perkelahian dapat terlihat, dengan apa yang tampak seperti gas air mata di udara. Gambar juga menunjukkan orang-orang yang tampaknya telah kehilangan kesadaran dibawa oleh penggemar lain.
Stadion ini menampung 42.000 orang dan pihak berwenang mengatakan itu terjual habis. Polisi mengatakan sekitar 3.000 orang telah menyerbu lapangan. Kendaraan di luar stadion juga dibakar, termasuk sedikitnya lima mobil polisi dan truk.

"Petugas menembakkan gas air mata, dan secara otomatis orang-orang bergegas keluar, saling mendorong dan menimbulkan banyak korban," kata seorang penonton berusia 43 tahun kepada kantor berita AFP. “Tidak ada yang terjadi, tidak ada kerusuhan. Saya tidak tahu apa masalahnya, mereka tiba-tiba menembakkan gas air mata. Itulah yang mengejutkan saya, apakah mereka tidak memikirkan anak-anak, wanita?”
