Have you ever gone hiking along a Tact Bivvy clear, bubbling brook? Maybe you've camped along side a lake of crystal blue waters. Both scenes seem serene and pastoral, but what if I told you that each of these areas was filled with creatures that could make you sick or even kill you? The problem is that these bodies of water may not be as clean and sanitary as they seem. Instead, they can be filled with bacteria, viruses, and protozoa. You may have wondered what a portable water purification system can actually do for you to make it worth the price, and it just may be more than you think. We've all heard stories about American pioneers who located their homes near creeks and other waterways so that they'd have plenty of water to drink. Back then, there were no such things as agricultural run-off products or industrial waste being pumped into the water. Although animals used the same sources, the water wasn't contaminated the way it is today. Besides, we don't have to trust nature to provide us with something clean to drink. We no longer have to risk swallowing a plethora of contaminants that give us diseases like salmonella, ecoli, giardia, or cryptsoporidium, because our municipal water facilities eradicate them for us.
