She often cuts a glamorous figure at many a red carpet event.

And Karen Gillan was at it again as she dazzled in a shimming gold dress and black blazer at the The Call of the Wild premiere at El Capitan Theatre, Los Angeles on Thursday.

The actress, 32, looked delighted as she posed alongside St. Bernard/farm collie rescue dog Buckley, who served as the model for the CGI dog Buck in the film.

The Scottish beauty looked radiant as she posed up a storm on the red carpet.

She also posed alongside her The Call Of The Wild co-stars including Omar Sy, Cara Gee, Harrison Ford.

Also at the bash was director Chris Saunders, who attended with wife Jessica Steele-Sanders and his popular pooch Buckley - of who the film's dog was modelled on.

In an Instagram post last November, Sanders explained: 'He was scanned, then animated, which allowed us to avoid putting any animals in danger AND allowed us to make him act/emote on cue.'

The film is based on Jack London's 1903 novel about a dog called Buck who is stolen from his California home and sold as a working animal in the Yukon during the 1890's Gold Rush.

Buck crosses paths with John Thornton, played by Harrison Ford, who runs a mail delivery dog sled team, and finds himself embarking on the adventure of a lifetime.

The live action/animation movie utilizes cutting edge visual effects and animation technology to bring the animals in the film fully to life.
